WAKING UP TO 9/11
Snowshoefilms: "How did you get into making Loose Change?"
DYLAN AVERY: “To make a long story short, James Gandolfini, you
probably know him as Tony Soprano, I asked him, ‘What do I have to
do to be a successful director?’ and he said, ‘You have to have an
important message to give to the rest of the world.’ And it was that
point I started thinking about 9/11…it was the most important, huge
event I could think of.”
JASON BERMAS: “I’m taking a piss and I look down and I
realize I’m pissing on Osama bin Laden’s face. And it says
‘Operation Enduring Freedom’ on it… I said, ‘Wow! This might
be biggest piece of propaganda I’ve ever seen in my life and it’s
in a high school…I said to myself, ‘You know what, I better make
sure what they’re telling me is true, that it’s not a false flag
operation.” Snowshoefilms: "Why do you think that
people who are normally critically thinking about our government can't
handle thinking about 9/11?"
DYLAN AVERY: “Cognitive dissonance. People are willing to
believe their government does bad things, is corrupt, kills people but
when it comes to domestic terrorism, false flag, it’s not within the
realm of possibility, Like people who are all ready to put on an
anti-war shirt, you know, one of the Buck Fush shirts and go down to
DC and protest the war, the second you start talking to them, ‘Well,
you know, this whole war thing wouldn’t have happened without 9/11.
So what’s you idea that 9/11 couldn’t have been done by our
government?’ They’re like, ‘Well, that’s just ludicrous.’
Come on, our government has killed hundreds of thousands of innocent
people based on a lie, what makes you think that 3,000 people
weren’t killed for a lie?”
JASON BERMAS: People are just not open to the idea that the U.S.
government, the greatest land in the nation…people can’t come to
grips that they would kill their ‘own people’ in order to kill
more people somewhere else…”
KOREY ROWE: 9/11 is the greatest national tragedy, it’s
a wound on our soil. Thousands of people killed instantly and
our country accepted that for what our government told us it was, and
we invaded Afghanistan. [when people see loose change], they come out
thinking, not that 9/11 was an inside job, but ‘What if my
government could lie to me? What if what they told me on
the news wasn’t true? And what if they always lie to me?”
